I love
pomelos. Over the weekend Dan got a humongous pomelo at the farmers market, just in time for the upcoming
lunar new year celebration. Here it is next to a Meyer lemon and an Oro Blanco grapefruit, two other citrus fruits I love.
The citrus lineupI don't think the picture accurately demonstrates just how big it is...I should have photographed it next to the beagle. It must be at least twice the size of her head.

But isn't the fruit inside tiny? I always wondered about those. I love citrus.
I was listening to a cooking show the other day and they said the pomelo rind is great for candying. ?
I have always wondered about Pomelos--do they taste like grapefruit? I loooove Meyer lemons!
The word "pomelo" is cute. But I am extremely interested in those Oro Blancos. I remember how good you said they were last year. Since I have always insisted on Texas Rio Star red grapefruit, I am keen on trying your Oro Blancos. Off to the Farmer's Market I will go this Saturday. Grapefruit is great fruit.
I love pomelos too! I used to eat them all the time in Taiwan. They're a lot of work, but totally worth it. Happy v-day :)
you know what? I've never had one. And that's what I said last winter when you posted about these. I'm going to keep my eye open at my market, and if I am near the Asian market -- swing by!
