Bagalong

Flush from the sucess of the tissue holders, I have joined Sew? I Knit! and will attempt to sew a bag, the theme for April. The Amy Butler Nappy Bag pattern arrived from Sewzanne's...the fun part is next...choosing fabric! Although perhaps I should read the pattern first...

Measuring carefully and sewing straight lines have always been challenging for me...also, the bobbin winder on my mother's sewing machine seems to no longer work, so I need to figure out how/where to wind my bobbins...

Ooooh! I love this bag. You'll have fun with it! When I was at Joann's the other day I noticed they sell prewound bobbins in black and white. They were in a big container (maybe 15 or 20?). I can't remember how much they were, but it seemed pretty reasonable.

oooh good luck with that bag!
i'm not super on the sewing machine. meaning i'm terrible with patterns and stuff that's why i am a team with my sister...i do all the piece work and the embellishing and she does all the techinical sewing.

i can't wait to see how it comes out!

Hey Carol--I was at Joann's today, saw those bobbins again, and thought of you. There are 25 in a container for 2.99. Can't beat that! Just thought I'd let you know. :)
